That time, I had the correct Vodafone-card with me and it worked: 2,99 EUR for 100 MB within the EU. I.e., double as much as with T-Mobile.

Finally, I could see the outdoor facilities, while it was bright.

So far, I was always upset that my trunk would not accommodate anything. So I was nicely surprised, that most of the baggage fit was covered.

There were a few reasons to pick Calais-Coquelles for staying overnight. You needed only five minutes to the terminal of the Eurotunnel, and so you could get there without hassle. When we arrived, the automated check-in system suggested taking an earlier train. After immigration for the UK (check for the right side of the counters, since they also had some for right-side-driven cars!), we were guided to the parking of the shops since there was still time until boarding.

Since the hotel only offered a breakfast buffet and none of us could make it so much that it was worth, we went quickly inside to buy some breakfast.

Since queue in front of Starbucks was endless, I did not have so many options.

Instead of leaving at 09:50 hrs, we could leave already at 09:38 hrs.

When they showed, that boarding was starting, we drove quickly to the train.

My parents did it the very first time, so they were quite excited.

My blood sugar values checked early in the morning without having food, were really good. I left the insulin home because my doctors told me that too much sugar would impact my long-time life, but too less sugar would kill me immediately.

The yogurt with the fruits was too sweet that I disposed of them after eating has of it. So I only ate a banana.

The GPS took us through the wilderness of Kent, England but along the coastal road. At a gas station, I bought some Taramasalata (Greek fry spread - but those I got in Katakolo, Greece on NORWEGIAN JADE 2014 (1) was much better and some French cheese spread ("The Laughing Cow"). Something I could easily eat in between.

That was pure Manchester-Capitalism. Or better it was pure Brighton-Capitalism. We went to Brighton, England. It was chaotic since they had construction work at the promenade and most of the parking was closed at the beach since they set up a stage for an event. The parking fee at the weekend was higher than during the week! In my next life, I would run a parking garage in Brighton. We stayed around 45 minutes in congestion before we finally could park the car.

Das ist Manchester-Kapitalismus pur. Besser Brighton-Kapitalismus.

My father was very excited to see the promenade.

Brighton was famous because of the ocean pier.

We went to Harry Ramsden's for lunch.

My father said that he would never eat Fish and Chips again with a fish restaurant chain in Germany.

I had a fish pie. I could make one fifth which did not stop my parents to continue to eat it.

Unfortunately, there would be no other branch of Harry Ramsden's on our way back, so my father should become again familiar with the fish and chips in Germany.

Since we lost a lot of time due to the traffic congestion in Brighton, we went without a further stop to Southampton, England to see the set sail of INDEPENDENCE OF THE SEAS.

Outdoor, it was meanwhile so cold, that we did not want to leave. I bought some dinner at the Chinese takeaway Stir Fry Express. My parents got some fried noodles.

Meine Eltern bekommen gebratene Nudeln.

Mir selbst hole ich eine Eierblumensuppe.

I took an egg flower soup.

Finally, I put some ginger cookies into my tea. They became smooth like melted butter.
